Yojimbo

Yojimbo is one of the great films from director Akira Kurosawa. If you are a fan of westerns then you probably know the remake of this film A Fistful Of Dollars. Kurosawa shows why he influenced so many other directors because every scene in this film a joy to watch and makes the viewer know that they are watching is special. Based in the day of the samurai Yojimbo portrays a drifting samurai and the conflict between two warning factions. The plot blends the perfect amount of drama, action, and comedy. This film is timeless and shows the genius of Akira Kurosawa.

Bottom Line (Warning Contains Spoilers)

This film is amazing. I love the plot where a man pits two warring families against each other for his own profit and to help the town. It is very interesting to see the major battle at the end since ToshirĂ´ Mifune is forced to face a man with gun. Where as the western remake has them on pretty much an even playing field. Still this film is fantastic and a must own.
