The Italian Job (1969)

The Italian Job is one of the most interesting films I’ve seen. Part amazing (due to Micheal Caine) and part weird (due to Benny Hill) this film just can’t make up it’s mind on what it should be. While I truly like this film I will warn you that there are several scenes that will date this movie. The only thing that I don’t like about The Italian Job is the main song throughout the film is super annoying and it will get stuck in your head. If you’re looking for a classic action movie look no further you will not be disappointed.

Bottom Line (Warning Contains Spoilers)

Okay this film really has some ADD mostly because of Benny Hill who plays a computer genius who is supposed to route traffic to aid in the get away after stealing a fortune in Mini Coopers. His part becomes slap stick and typical Benny Hill, which doesn’t really fit in with the rest of the film. It has nothing to do against Benny Hill it’s just a bizarre role to put him in. Other wise the rest of the film is great minus that one stupid song.
