Dracula is a classic horror film that bridges the gap between the silent movie era and the talking movie era. The bridge becomes apparent with the movie having many moments of silence with dramatic shots. For this reason the movie feels a little slow. Don’t let that fool you though this movie is amazingly, acted and the cinematography is on a whole other level. Lugosi is the quintessential Dracula with slicked back hair, pointy teeth, and haunting stare. There are so many great scary scenes in this movie that it deserves being watched annually. The rest of the cast is amazing in their roles, especially Dr. Van Hellsing is portrayed beautifully. This is a must own not only for horror fans but for film junkies of any kind.
Bottom Line (Warning Contains Spoilers)
The plot is great; Dracula comes over to England and he is going to try a woman his new bride. However Dr.Van Hellsing and her boyfriend have something else to say in this great plot. The best part is the ending of this film is the beginning of the next film, literally it’s the same clip. It’s a classic and well worth watching.
